DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION FAQS:
The InterNIC (Network Solutions Inc.) is an independent organization responsible for holding the registration and routing of Internet domain names. Without these people it would be virtually impossible to maintain a sense of sanity on the Internet. MyWebSiteHost.Com registers all new domain names (.com, .net, .org) with InterNIC.
You do. When we register your domain name with the InterNIC, we will put you as the administrative and billing contact. Whenever you want to make modifications with your domain name, the administrative or billing contact is always contacted first. Since MyWebSiteHost.Com registers your domain name, we will remain as the technical contact. If for any reason you do not want us as the technical contact, you will need to register or transfer your account with InterNIC.
New domain names registered after April 1, 1998 cost $70.00 good for the first two years. Each additional year is $35.00 thereafter.
Yes. Anyone who registers a new domain name with a .com, .net, or .org extension (regardless of what web hosting provider one goes through) MUST pay the InterNIC fee. There is no way around this! InterNIC will invoice you within 30 days upon the activation of the domain name. If you do not get the invoice, please contact the InterNIC directly! If the fee is not paid promptly, the domain name will eventually get deleted from the InterNIC database and another third party might then snatch your domain name away from you!
MyWebSiteHost.Com requires foreign domain registration to be completed by the owner of the domain. Please contact our technical support staff for information that you will need when registering.
We, of course, will setup your domain name on our servers within 24 hours. While setting up your site, we will simultaneously register your domain name with the InterNIC. InterNIC takes less than 12 hours to complete new domain name registrations (for the past few months, InterNIC registration has been very swamped, so it's possible for it to take longer). However after this time period, it truly depends on ALL networks and ISPs of the world to update their servers and lookup your new domain name. Some popular dial-up ISPs (i.e. Earthlink, Slip.Net, Sprynet, Grid.Net) take less then 6 hours to update their servers, while others will take more than 2 days. So if you are still using a dial-up connection to the Internet, make sure you have a reliable ISP that promply updates its DNS servers, so you can access yourdomain.com right away.
Expect an email from InterNIC! If you have already registered domain name, MyWebSiteHost.Com will handle your transfer. MyWebSiteHost.Com will send a modification template to InterNIC, and they will in turn send confirmation of the request to the administrative, and technical contact of the domain name involved. Only one person must agree to the email and reply-back to the InterNIC for the transfer to successfully go through.
